This estate, consisting of a main house, three guest cottages, several outbuildings, and a
caretaker's cottage, is located on its own private island. Rich materials and traditional
Colonial Caribbean detailing create an elegant atmosphere. High ceilings, large windows
and generous verandahs are a sensitive response to the humid climate and blur the line
between interior and exterior. The exterior walls are made from stone quarried from the
island itself. The living room walls are veneered with shell stone and the floor and
ceiling above are made of a dark stained mahogany. The house was largely furnished with
antique colonial era furniture.
