Our competition entries and proposals are investigations in
the use of fictional narrative and popular symbolism to make buildings more
accessible and enjoyable to the general public. Houses with faces that talk
to each other, water fountains that look like animals, and rocket ship housing
towers interact to form evocative illustrations, leaving the "reader" to fill
in the captions as he or she pleases. Our objects tend to look like creatures,
alive and roaming around the page. They reference animals, tropical plants,
and everyday popular imagery. We strive to imbue each proposal with a sense of
fantasy and playfulness that carries through to our built work. Through these
abstractions, we are able to communicate our ideas about the nature of society
and human interaction in their most potent form.
