Working in a joint venture capacity with the NY based designer Lisa Monteleone
the store is designed as the first of several women's apparel shops for Chroma.
Using muslin stretched on scrims, the walls are backlit with neon tube lighting
creating an overall glow that envelops the store. The ceiling soffit complete
with lighting and hanging display millwork hovers over the length of the retail
area. A floating back wall separates the dressing room and office/storage spaces
from the front showroom. All of the display cabinetry is custom made using clear
maple and silver lacquered wood. Vertical neon tubing hangs from the ceiling
creating a sculptural effect.
